FIRE CHIEF

Chief Rich Bauer retired in 2026 as a career firefighter and paramedic and then Fire Chief. He began his career working as a paid on-call firefighter for Ketchum in 1994, he then moved to Wood River Fire & Rescue (now BC South) in 1999, where he rose to the rank of captain.  In 2019 Chief Bauer was selected to head  the North Blaine County Fire District by the District Commissioners and Sun Valley Fire Department. We are incredibly grateful for all that Chief Bauer has done for our community.
